Welcome to our anger management programme, where we provide practical tools and support to help you regain control and find inner peace. At Genesis Therapy, we understand that anger can be a challenging emotion to navigate, often affecting various aspects of our lives.
That's why we have developed the revolutionary ROAR process, a unique and proven approach to anger management. Our program is designed to empower individuals through a process of Acknowledgement teaching them how to Recognize triggers, Own their emotions, Assess their reactions, and Respond mindfully.
By combining therapeutic techniques, tailored exercises, and personalized guidance, we help you develop essential skills to manage anger constructively.
Service 2 - Anxiety Support
Anxiety Management refers to a range of strategies and techniques used to cope with and reduce feelings of anxiety. These techniques aim to help individuals understand the nature of their anxiety, identify and manage triggers, and develop healthier responses to stressors. Methods can include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, relaxation techniques, exercise, and sometimes medication. The goal is not to eliminate anxiety, as it is a natural human response to perceived threats, but to manage it in a way that it does not interfere with daily functioning or quality of life. I worked with Steve for 5 weeks to deal with my anger management issues and the experience has been great for me, and as a consequnce my family. Steve is a very candid and honest person and expained to me very early on in the process that he would help to give me the skills and understanding to take control of my emotions, and that ultimately I was the person in control of changing. Steve's approach is science based and for me as very logical person this worked really well. It was fascinating to learn about the brain, our primitive self and how all of this is interlinked to the emotions that we feel today. The techniques Steve discussed with me work and I feel like I've made fantastic progress. When I started the course with Steve, I didn’t know what to expect and although I was desperate to change, I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to be able to do it. I was really nervous at first but Steve is very personable, knowledgeable and I felt comfortable from the moment I spoke with him. I took the plunge and invested in Steve’s 5 week course and it’s one of the best things I’ve done. I was finally able to get deeper into my mind, identify and understand what has been happening, which I’ve been trying to do for years! Even though working on myself was hard work, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey - seeing progress each week, learning about myself and understanding myself more, but most of all realising I could actually become the person I’ve wanted to be for a long time! I feel like I’ve had a huge shift in myself and it feels amazing! I feel more confident and empowered, knowing I can manage my emotions. I can be a better person, a better mum and wife. Steve has really helped me to understand myself which has overall made me more aware of my cognitions and how this influences my actions. I was initially skeptical to the extent that ‘therapy’ would help me, however Steve’s knowledge, professionalism and overall temperament provided me with the space to reflect without fear or judgment or scrutiny.
